one side of her room has four strings of fairy lights where almost 40 pictures of her friends and family are displayed. Next to it is a window seat with stuff toys. The third wall is dedicated to memories with a bulletin board that holds souvenirs of some of her precious right from her first flight ticket.
That's Ruth Priyanka Immanuel for you. With her feet firmly on the ground and her head in the clouds, it is no wonder this school teacher has a creative side to her that not many know. Having been interested in drawing and sketching since childhood, Priyanka has now taken it further with her vibrant bottle art, wooden canvas, quirky dream catchers, magnets, wall hangings, earrings and moreover gives you a special and personalised touch in everything she does.
" Crafting has always been a part of my life and I do it whenever I can, because it gives me immense happiness. My sister, who is a great painter herself, is the one who brought out this talent in me. even a single word of appreciation from her means a lot to me ". I don't have particular themes for my creations but I just work with whatever I find interesting. making things take a lot of time but at the end of it, its worth all the efforts. Talking about efforts, many people do not recognise the hours of labour that go into even the simplest artistic creations and if you look at it nowadays people are just so busy running behind money and other material things that they just miss out on the important stuff. And when others put their heart and soul in creating something, people just say its pretty and walk away. but I acknowledge that I have been pretty fortunate in that aspect. Apart from my own family and friends, I have been fortunate enough to get a lot of encouragement, both in person and through my Instagram and Facebook page named "just craft", which is very motivating besides we all need a push every now and then. When everything goes smooth there has to be something to stop that right? and that's your competitors. Well I believe Confidence has no competition and besides if you're gonna compete with others you just become bitter but if you compete with yourself you gonna become better. I have been chasing my dreams and its the tiny little wishes right from having your own little stall having only bookmarks in small places to being a decorator and designer for various events to having a big stall having a variety of things in Chithrakala parishad and now moving towards opening my own store in the future maybe.One thing I would like to tell all the young entrepreneurs out there is, yes people are waiting to see what you've got and mock at your ideas and steal them too but just remember "Don't let anyone dim your light simply because its shining in their eyes and besides "You earn your trophies at practice.You just pick them up at competitions".
I'm just gonna end by saying this is nothing less than a blessing.
