Yamini Divakar, Fire Dancer

WELCOME TO MY WORLD OF MOVEMENT, DANCE, AND LOVE!

It all started 8 years ago when fire dancing was still a new concept in India. I was very drawn to the old-school style of psychedelic trans music. I used to love dancing to it. The stage was always mine at every party I went to!

It was during one of these parties that I saw someone fire dancing and I was instantly attracted to the fire. I almost saw myself in place of the dancer and it sent a thrill down my body. That’s when I knew that this was what I was looking for all my life.

After a lot of struggle to accumulate money for my fire props and after multiple burns on my body, I transformed myself into a strong, graceful fire dancer. I am a self-taught expert, which is why my style is unique.

My partner, the love of my life, played a very huge role in helping me be where I am because we party hopped together and he, being a DJ, played all the music I loved to dance to.

Fire dancing is extremely challenging and requires a lot of mental & physical strength. But, never did I back down. My martial arts background helped me a lot during my learning and kept me fit throughout. I love exploring my body and traveling new dimensions during my practice. Music and fire transform me into a deeply meditative state, helping me find my inspiration to MAKE EVERY DAY AWESOME!

I have performed in multiple countries such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Republic of Korea, and in numerous cities in India. I am here to share my knowledge and help you find flow through movement, art, and music.

I still continue to learn and grow. I absolutely love spinning and it gives me even more happiness to teach this.

My fire dancing is a product of love. And, that makes it the most special part of my life. <3
